Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day direction in all aspects of human resources. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws as well as company policies and procedures. Communicate policy and procedure updates to management and employees. Consult with Corporate HR leadership on complex issues, research employment laws and/or best practices to resolve ad hoc issues, and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies or procedures. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with employee and personnel matters. Serve as a liaison to employees and assist with employee relations issues. Assist in conducting investigations involving employment related issues. Confer with and coach supervisors on performance management, employee morale issues, effective management techniques, leadership development, team building and other related issues, to improve the efficient and effective operation of facility programs, employee satisfaction, and/or the productive interactions and teamwork of staff. Assist with employee training as needed. Responsible for recruitment and interview process including post positions, review resumes, schedule interviews, track status of candidates, extend offers, and respond with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. Complete new hire information, process in the HRIS system, and send to Payroll, Corporate HR, and state agencies. Complete I-9 forms, verify I-9 documentation, complete E-Verify, and maintain separate I-9 files in accordance with federal regulations. Submit and track new hire background checks and applicable licensing information. Verify and track employee licensure in accordance with state and federal requirements. Assist with benefits administrations ensuring all benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations have been completed and processed in the HRIS system to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper payroll deductions. Administer and track all employee leave programs. Process employee status changes in the HRIS system and send to Payroll and Corporate HR. Process termination information in the HRIS system and send to Payroll, Corporate HR, and state agencies. Maintains employee records and files, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, and other key details. File documents into appropriate employee files ensuring compliance and record keeping in accordance with state and federal laws. Conduct and assist with audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs. Responsible for tracking and completing OSHA requirements. Assists in completion and responding to EEO information. Provides and reviews information for compliance with ADA. Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Schedule meetings and interviews as requested. Clerical functions include preparing correspondence, making copies, mail, emails, scans, etc. Ensure all relevant labor law posters are current and posted in a conspicuous location within the facility, easily accessible to employees. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred. At least two years related experience required.
